Ninja 250R Scorpion Exhaust

Scorpion Exhaust for Ninja 250RAnother day, and another new exhaust for the Ninja 250R. This exhaust comes from Scorpion Exhausts (Who pretty much make exhausts to fix anything on wheels from bikes, cars, atv’s and even scooters)

This particular exhaust for the Ninja 250R doesn’t really stand out from the crowd looks wise, but it does have a great little sound to it. (See Video on the second page) In addition, Scorpion products tend to be pretty easy to come by, and easy to get good deals on — So I see this exhaust as becoming more and more popular over time. In addition, this exhaust was designed based off of stock fueling. So, no jet kit or mods are needed to support this guy, which makes this exhaust a great option for people just looking for a lil more sound and scoot..

Available in three finishes Stainless, Titanium, and Titanium Flame. Details and where to buy can be found here.

[Thanks for the tip NH!]

Apex Slip On

Apex Slipon for Ninja 250

One of our readers KL sent in a nice picture of his new FMF Racing Apex Slip-on Exhaust (previously covered here). In fact, since that time, Apex has updated their site, and the exhaust they are offering for the Ninja 250 is the cylindrical version of the exhaust — not the diamond shaped one. All that aside, this exhaust comes in two forms Carbon Fiber and Titanium, and is overall a nice piece in the slipon category for this bike. (Price $400 - $435)

Nojima Exhaust

Nojima exhaust Ninja 250rThe international parts scene is kicking the poo out of the US scene as far as getting parts to market… Here is some more Japanese goodness in the form of an exhaust by Nojima. This is a full exhaust that actually has a super nice look to it, ( Sorta like a refined Yosh)  and I was really getting jealous that Asia is getting all these awesome goodies, and us…. Not so much…

Then I realized… it’s also almost a $1000 USD… Yah… Exactly..

So — I guess at the end of the day, I’m starting to understand why these are not imported… I really doubt that many Americans would dish out a cool K on an exhaust for a $4k Bike…

Manufacture: Nojima
Price: ¥99,750 (~$950 USD)

Thanks Rogg for sending this in…

HR1 Exhaust

HR1 Exhuast Ninja 250R

Hardrock Motorsports Released their HR1 exhaust for the Ninja 250R this past week. This is an interesting lil’ (literally) Exhaust, and finally brings something new to the mix vs your standard stainless / titanium / carbon fiber offerings…

The HR1 is small.. But, with it’s small size, it does give you the benefit of weight savings. The slip on canister weighs in at only 3.5 Lbs. In addition the HR1 has an interesting bit of technology built into it… Hardrock Motorsports calls it it “Variable Back Pressure Adjuster” — Which allows the user to adjust the back pressure of the exhaust to maximize mods.. Very Interesting.. Sorta grow as you go..

I haven’t found any sound clips or vids yet. But as soon as I do, I’ll make sure and get them up.

UPDATE: Video after the jump. Thanks for the link Michal!

Manufacture: hardrock Motorsports

Price: ~$425.00

Painted Heatshield - Quick, Easy and Sweeeeeet

Painted Heatshield on Ninja 250RThis is a real nice trick to spruce up your Black (Possibly red?) Ninja’s. Poster MurderedOut over at KawiForums posted up a few pics of his bike — and the first thing that caught my eye was the painted exhaust heat shield. To me, adding the paint really helps the blacks on the bike flow, instead of having this vomit of chrome brake side…

The How-To on this is pretty easy:

1. Remove 2 Bolts for heat shield.
2. Clean heat shield.
3. Lightly sand heat shield.
4. Shake Can.
5. Point and Spray.
6. Let Dry.
7. Re attach with 2 screws.

MurderedOut said he used a flat black.. And after thinking about it, I think I agree that the Flat black will look better than a high gloss black here. Either way — Make sure you get a high temp paint made for engine blocks, bbq grills, or other high temp applications. (Dupli-color makes a ceramic paint good up to 1200° which I highly recommend)
