Ninja Porn: Puig, Area P, Blackness

Ninja 250R PicturesThe point of ‘Readers Rides’ is to give people a visual reference of how parts look on their bikes. So, if you wanna see your bike up here, send me your pictures (Good pictures please.. No camera phones / Digital cameras from 1994)

Here are some great shots from one of our reader Bryan, who is well on his way to perfecting black, on black …. on more black.. One of the things I was excited to see is the Smoke Puig windscreen on this bike… It looks awesome, but for reference, the other parts on this bike are:

  • Area P quiet core full exhaust
  • Puig dark smoke wind screen
  • Fender eliminator/license plate bracket w/LED turn signals
  • Self painted gray metallic wheel stripes
  • Dynojet kit
  • Ported airbox

Nice Bike Man! Keep it up!

Area-P Quiet Core Exhaust

Area-P Quiet Core ExhaustHands down I have to say that the Area-P might be the most popular exhaust for the Ninja 250R. And it makes sense, it has a great mix of price / performance, and sounds pretty damn good.

Following on the coat tails of their original exhaust the Quiet Core tames out the sound and switches out the shortie canister for a longer full canister with the same great looks.
Pricing stays the same starting at $450 (Stainless) to $495 (Carbon fiber).

A dyno chart for the Quiet Core is not available yet, but Area-P states that power delivery is pretty much the same for the quiet core as it is for their standard exhaust. Also, a jet kit is is not needed for this exhaust, but is recommended.

“After testing several other production bikes, we recommend Dynojet kit # 2193 or Factory Pro kit (or similar) to help optimize the fuel curve and further increase power, as the production bikes do have a tendency to run lean in the low/mid range especially.”

Quiet Core vs. Standard Sound Levels:

Idle 5000rpm
Standard muffler (12″ long, 2.0″ core) 90 dbA 105 dbA
Quiet muffler (18″ long, 1.75″ core) 83 dbA 95 dbA

Reader Rides: Marks’s Ninja 250R

Ninja 250R Rider One of our 2Fiddy readers Mark sent me over some pictures of him on his new 250, and it’s looking good. I really like this picture to the right because it is a great size reference for riders. Mark is about 5′8″ / 200(ish) pounds — and as you can see — the bike is a really good fit.

In addition to stopping for a few mins for a quick snap shot — Mark is doing a good job getting some nice Ninja footage up on YouTube. Make sure you check it out.

Marks Mods:
Area P Carbon Fiber Exhaust
GLSIGNS Ebay Wheel Stripes
Competition Werks Fender Eliminator

If you have pictures, and would like to have them included on 2Fiddy.com, just shoot me a message @
