I’m shooting blanks on the titles guys… err.. I mean.. I’m trying to be creative… but my mind just goes soft.. *Sigh*
Anyways, If you’re looking for a neat way to change up the look of your Ninja without having to take it to the paint booth… Wrap it. Thats right, slap some V’s up on that bitch! ( And by V’s I mean Vinyl, not Viagra.. How did this post go so wrong so quickly? )
The Guys over at Powersports Wraps create DIY vinyl wraps, for what seems to be all things motor sports, now have some pictures of Wrapped Ninja’s on their Blog. Apparently, no specific kit is needed just buy enough of the pattern you like and get wrapping, stretching, and cutting. The wrap in the picture above cost about $300 in materials… Exponentially less for the same designs to be done with an Airbrush.
Manufacture: Powersports Wraps
Price: Varies depending on Materials

DOH! Why are all these awesome Ninja goodies only available overseas. Why is no one importing this stuff!! Usually by now, there would at least be someone on eBay willing to ship this over to the US, but nothing. Bumkis. Nadd. Zip. Zilch!
A-Tech out of Japan has released a plethera of Cosmetic body work in Carbon Fiber for the Ninja 250R. The one that really catches my eye is the Combo Chain Guard / Rear Hugger — which is a piece I have been looking for for domestically quite some time.
If anyone of our readers are familiar with Japanese, and could decode the page a little for us (Google Translator was FAIL!) I’d greatly appreciated it. And any details on if they will ship to the US or if there is a US distro — Hook us up.. I can hear the saliva drip to the floor from many, many, many 250R owners as they read this..

Seeing as how getting replacement fairings from Kawasaki seems to be damn near impossible right now, it’s good to see that the after market is picking up their slack. Airtech Streamlining is the first company I have seen that has come out with a full set of interchangeable Race / Street bodywork for the 250R — And also the first company that has an oil containment pan — which really smooths out the look of the whole bike.
All the parts are manufactured in house by Airtech Streamlining out of high quality fiberglass and are very reasonably priced. This is a really sharp package.. Someone needs to pick up a set of these and paint them up. I would love to see these on a finished bike.
Manufacture: Airtech Streamlining
Parts Numbers and Pricing are as follows:
2EX21C KAWASAKI EX250 UPPER FAIRING - COMPETITION $159.07
2EX21S KAWASAKI EX250 UPPER FAIRING - STREET $197.98
2EX22 KAWASAKI EX250 LOWER FAIRING - RIGHT $197.98
2EX23 KAWASAKI EX250 LOWER FAIRING - LEFT $197.98
2EX24 KAWASAKI EX250 TAIL SECTION - SUPERSPORT $197.98
2EX2OCP KAWASAKI EX250 OIL CONTAINMENT PAN $145.23
2EX25 KAWASAKI EX250 FRONT FENDER $82.99
(Note: Anyone notice the chain guard in the picture? Wonder if they’re holding out on us…
)
Thanks for the tip Charles!

As much as I hate ebay, It doesn’t hurt to head over there every once in a while to see if any new parts have managed to slip past me, and the forums, and my readers, etc. etc.
Today I ended up finding a neat piece. eBayer Scotts870 is making carbon fiber rear huggers for the 250R. It’s actually a pretty nice little piece for custom made.. (And I can speak from experience — working with raw carbon fiber sucks…) Currently, the auction is running at $70.. Might be worth a bid..
Since we’re on the topic: Other Parts I’d like to see made in Carbon Fiber:
1. Chain Guard
2. The plastic thigh covers
3. Front Fender
Can y’all think of any more?

Sharskinz has released a complete race body work for the Ninja 250R… Available in 4 different pieces (1 Piece Upper, 1 Piece Lower, Race Tail, and Front fender) — The styling is not to far of a jump from stock, with the main exception of no headlight, and a really nicely sculpted rear tail. ( Plus the rail tail still lets you use the stock seat )
This is awesome that we’re starting to see more aftermarket support, but even more so, more race part support. Now we just need someone to make the same tail, with integrated brake and turn lights… And I’ll be one happy man.
PN: 2105 / 1 Piece Race Upper: ~$310
PN: 2106 / 1 Piece Race Lower: ~$200
PN: 2107 / Race Tail: ~$210
PN: 2108 / Front Fender: ~$103

[ Note: It looks like they are selling their Dev bike for $3000 with the body work on it!! If you live in Florida this is a steal if your looking for a track bike! Link ]

So hot. So Sexy.. Sooooo not available in the USA… Above is a picture of the K-Factory Ninja 250R with their Titanium exhaust, aluminum rearsets, and aluminum bridge… Which seem to be only available in Japan…
I have been trying to find a source for these parts — and it just doesn’t look like you can do it short of ordering them from over seas. Which might not be a bad thing. If you’re looking to have a truly unique Ninja 250R, then here you go.. If you’re already in Japan — You lucky bastard!
So please.. If anyone has any information on how to purchase these parts domestically, post up in the comments..

Looking to do some painting on your Ninja 250R? Or do you just need some touch up paint for a cracked faring or from some love bug destruction… Have no fear, Color Rite has you covered. They offer all the colors for a stock bike (Including Wheels and Frame) and have them available in sizes ranging from a touch-up pen to a full quart.
Take note tho… All of us crazy cats with Candy Plasma Blue -or- Passion red need a base coat as well to get the match done right. So if you plan on painting your chain guard or some of the plastic insets — make sure you do it right and get both colors to match.

The orginal post I did about the OEM Seat Cowl replacement from Kawasaki has some less than stellar things to say about it. One of my main complains (and that of many people) is that it just didn’t want to Stay on, or properly click into the lock.
Well, after having it on the bike for almost a month now, I think it is only fair to do a follow-up to say that it has now “Broken in”. Taking the seat cowl off and on is a snap and the fitment is pretty damn near close to perfect — And it takes the same amount of pressure to get the replacement cowl on as it does the stocker.
So, before you go and shave the stoppers down, just give it some time to compress them down into the proper fitment.

I’m getting the feeling that someone over at Roaring Toyz has a Ninja 250R and is short — because these guys are doing a decent job of pumping out some neat parts for the Bike…
Just noticed today is that they added some Handle Bar Risers and Lowering blocks to their site. And for about $60 — not a bad deal for a nicely done piece…
Part description from the site:
Black Anodized Contrast Cut Handle Bar Risers fit the new 2008 Ninja 250R with Roaring Toyz engraved. These trick new lowering blocks/handlebar risers allow the front end to be lowered 1″. These blocks are a quick simple bolt on and will not only allow you to lower the front end but also raise the handlebars 1″ and back 1/2″ to allow for more comfort and control. This is a great upgrade for vertically challenged riders as well as women riders. Check them out and get your bike the right stance with another high quality part from Roaring Toyz!

While cruising DennisKirk.com — I saw the Vortex Racing lowering links pop up for the 2008 Ninja 250R. Granted Vortex Racing doesn’t have any info up on their site about this part, but Dennis Kirk says that they have some In stock, so they must be shipping.
For those of you wondering: Lowering links are mainly used for lowering bikes for shorter riders, but are also common by racers to lower the center of gravity of the bike.
Details
- Lower high-performance sportbikes for a lower center of gravity
- Improves rider’s handling confidence
- Ground is easier to reach for shorter riders
- Multiple height adjustments on most lowering links to handle your individual needs
- Include holes for adjusting ride height as shown in chart (Hole 1=2″; this means Hole 1 lowers the bike 2″)
Price: ~$150 USD
