I gotta go with the AreaP because its the best looking carbon pipe out there and definitely sounds the best. Also the price is comparable to a few of the other slip on’s out there

It sounds the best to me and the carbon pipe looks amazing.
The price is just right as well.

Hands down the Area P Quiet Core. I think it not only sounds the best out there for the 250 but also looks slick. The can looks great with the body style of the 250 and switching it out for the stock can makes a huge difference in look and performance.

If I had the cash I would opt for the full system. Absolutely stunning pulling up next to any old Gixer and stunning them with your little 250.

The Yosh system on this bike for sure. With adequate performance, a genuine tone and a look that stands alone in the field, Yoshimura proves their outstanding craftsmanship over all platforms with their 08′ 250 Exhaust. All others are simply common place.

My personal favorite is the AreaP QuietCore for many reasons:
1)Stealthiness factor: i i currently live with my parents who want nothing more than to discover this motorcycle of mine and destroy it. A true ninja will evade the enemy and park it on a side street, unnoticed.
2)Sound quality: Doesn’t sound like a portable lawnmower but is beefy as a normal AreaP, just quieter at idle. Crank that wrist and have everyone within a mile radius hear teh ecstasy.
3)AreaP performance. Good guys. They work directly w Kawisaki
4)AreaP convenience. If you live in Socal might as well swing by and pick it up the day you buy and bungee it to your bike.
5)Full exhaust is the way to go– shift that peak power into the area with the red numbers.
    6) Sexiness factor– It is long and beautiful in a unique phallic way.
    7) I am poor. I bought my bike on student loans. If i had money i would go with Mr. Yoshimura, or order a blue-titanium K-Factory from Japan (drool).

I like this response as well. Are you giving away 2 brackets 2fiddy? Ever come close to running over a crocodile while out on a Sunday drive? Doesn’t Australia have a bunch of crocodiles like in the movie Crocdile Dundee. When I think of Australia I always think of the outback and that you have more deadly snakes on your continent than any other place on the planet not to mention the water also.

The Yoshimura pipe with it shape, design and attention to detail is by far the coolest but its full system price was quit a bit more then the Area P carbon full system and the Area P full system makes the most HP of any exhaust for the 250R right now that I‘ve seen. Forget slip-ons as your only getting a partial product like with the Two Brothers for example. Instead of buying the slip-on for 400 plus dollars spend a little more and grab the Area P carbon full system and become a man. Price and performance numbers are what made the Area P the winner for me and my quiet core version looks, sounds and performs super on my bike and does not pollute the world with obnoxious noise. Sure the name Area P is not as cool as a Yoshimura but just pull the sticker off once you get it and go stealth.

I have an 12in area p carbon full system but i want to get the 18in quiet core instead. The 12 is too loud or I’m getting too old. i like the sound but it is just too loud. Do you like the 18 in and does it sound nice but not too loud?

    [Reply]

    Blue Monkey Reply:

Any one want to buy the Area p 12in carbon pipe only, I need the headers for the new pipe?

    [Reply]

    bthornhill Reply:

I have not heard the 12 incher but the 18 in is pretty nice. At idle it rumbles nicely but when you get on it it comes to life. I ride sometimes without my helmet and it never hurts my ears but it is loud. Sound is not a problem on the highway either as it is drowned out a bit by the road noise and wind. I will mention that there are times when I wish it was a little bit louder but it’s rare. I think a 16 incher would be a nice version for Area P company to offer plus it would shrink the length of the carbon can down just a smidge for the perfect size.

m going to have to go with the HR1, not cause I know slot about it, but because I just ordered one and don’t want to feel bad! Plus it’s small, sits low, and has adjustable back pressure. We’ll see if my vote changes once I get it:(

WOW….. No love for the good old D&D…. I put this pipe on the new 09 i got on monday and i love it. Im really excited to see how it sounds after its broken in. Yea ill agree i probably paid way to much for it but oh well i wanted to be different. Over 3/4 of this post went to the yoshi or AreaP. I admit both are very good for this bike. But overall at the end of the day it boils down to the simple fact that i didnt wanna have the same 250 as thousands of others out there i wanna be the stand alone man!!!

    MB

Oh and the Candy Plasma Blue for the 08’s is a whole lot different for the 09’s..

    [Reply]

    bthornhill Reply:

what are the other 09′ differences that you can see or know about? I have not been looking around the i-net to read much on the 09′ so I thought I’d ask an owner.

    [Reply]

    Mike Reply:

To be honest i think all that has changed is the colors on the bikes. I had bought the exhaust the fender eliminator kit and a windscreen for the 08 i waited on for 6 months and it just so happened that it was the only one my dealer did not recieve. All of those things i have just listed are all “Manufactured” for the 08 but fit on the 09 like they were ment to be so i dont notice any real “BIG” changes mostly the color and from my dealer said none of the colors are the same..

I like the Area P, because it sounds sick and gives the best performance of any 250 pipe.
it’s a full system for what many are charging for a slip-on. plus that i live about 20 minutes from where they are made, so no shipping costs are a bonus

I would have to say the Area P exhaust would be the best out there . Its a full on exhaust kit and its not to big or not to small . and but if i had to change one thing about it . It would be the tip of the exhaust , i dont like how the opening is kinda small .and how it has a slight bend to it . But it all comes down to the price . You get alot more for your money compared to alot of the exhaust out there . (PIck Me! Pick Me!|)
