KMD K-007 Tron Bike MC-06.. Whoa.. What?

It’s times like this that I love the internet… Check out this gem I found tonight… I guess it’s just like the Dodge Tomahawk… Just instead of 600+hp it’s 150cc’s… (I know, You have to look really, really, really hard to tell the difference…)
Seriously, if I had an extra 1400$ laying around I would not only be ordering this tonight, I would be getting my custom “Parking for Tron Bike Only” sign for in the garage… And despite the fact that this bike is indeed “Not Street Legal” — I would ride this everywhere no matter what the cost of the tickets… Because, you just can’t put a price on awesome.
Manufacture: KMD? Tron? The league of Awesomeness? *shrug*
Link: ATV Discounter
Price: Only the best $1400 You ever spent..

I beleive it would be classified as a ‘Car / Automobile’ simply because it has 4 wheels. The US has some odd traffic law; and I think that its the 4 wheel thing; that would make it subject to all sorts of safety regulations (seatbelts, etc). Could be wrong, but I believe that was the case of the Yamaha Tesseract concept. Looks awesome, and would love to get one.

But aren’t quads/ATVs street legal? and they don’t have seatbelts, etc…. I don’t see why this isn’t street legal it’s got blinkers on front and back, headlights, and a brake light even….
*sigh* if only i had an extra $1400 dollars….

No they are not. They can be used in State of Emergency type situations; or for used to cross a street for a trail, but never ‘Street Legal’ SL would imply you could ride one to work, which in the US as far as I am aware you cannot, but it might vary state to state. I know here in NY you can get a plate for your ATV / Quad; but still can’t ride it on the roads.
Motorcycles are generally classified as having no more than 3 wheels in touch with the ground at once. I know if you check the DMV of your state’s sight they will usually tell you (under road test) that if you bring a trike, you can be restricted to only trike’s.
– Long story short, most state governments will classify anything with more than 4 wheels that is not designated for offroad use (ATVs) as cars. No matter how narrow, no matter how you ride it / steer it –

actually, in response to the street legal comments, atv’s, quads, mini rails, sand rails, and the such can be plated and made street legal, with one mirror, a horn, and a working brake light.

that’s is the coolest thing I’ve seen all day. I’d so buy one, and drop a 400 cc motor and better tranny in it.

There’s no reason it couldn’t be classified as an experimental vehicle in most states. EVs get lots of leeway in what they require. Pretty much any electric or hybrid vehicle not in production can be classified as an EV, and I wouldn’t doubt that this could too. Check out the Can-Am Spyder… it’s classified as a motorcycle (three wheels) but I’m sure that you could build something similar and it would be an EV.

the Tomahawk is a work of art, this thing looks like (well it is) a cheap rip off. I hope for the sake of all that is good in the world that this thing doesn’t exisit.
Here is a picture of the real thing.

I have been looking for an economical town commuter, I saw this on-line the other day, I’m like 5′7″, I have seen a 5′10 in dude on one of these, it is microscopic. It would be a cool bike if it were even half scale, it is more like 1/4 scale. Do not get it unless you want to be laughed at.
x-racer on e-bay check it out
this is a kid on it….

That is funny cause the model name is the same? k-007, the displacement is the same 150cc, and if you look at the handle bars in the picture at the top, the scale is about right for the one the kid is sitting on, unless the bars are huge cause at 45 tall that puts the bars at about 35 wide, that is a bit of a reach.
I don’t doubt you on the dimensions you found, in fact I would love it if you could send me a link. The whole reason I started looking at it is for what it is: cheap, sporty and economical.
find me one and I will buy it !
