Carbon Fiber Rear Hugger and Chain Guard

DOH! Why are all these awesome Ninja goodies only available overseas. Why is no one importing this stuff!! Usually by now, there would at least be someone on eBay willing to ship this over to the US, but nothing. Bumkis. Nadd. Zip. Zilch!

A-Tech out of Japan has released a plethera of Cosmetic body work in Carbon Fiber for the Ninja 250R. The one that really catches my eye is the Combo Chain Guard / Rear Hugger — which is a piece I have been looking for for domestically quite some time.

If anyone of our readers are familiar with Japanese, and could decode the page a little for us (Google Translator was FAIL!) I’d greatly appreciated it. And any details on if they will ship to the US or if there is a US distro — Hook us up.. I can hear the saliva drip to the floor from many, many, many 250R owners as they read this..

This is way cool! I can’t even imagine what they would be charging for it. There are plenty of companies here in the U.S. that make high performance carbon fiber parts for the motocross industry so I don’t know why there isn’t more stuff out there for the sport bikes market at reasonable prices.

The most expensive model of the hugger/chain guard is around $275.

I e-mailed them a week or so ago and they said if I order, they’ll ship to the U.S. I didn’t get any specifics as to payment options just yet though.

As steve mentioned above, they do ship to USA. However, I think the tire hugger is back ordered for 1 month or so. You can use credit card to purchase. I’m not sure if they have an employee who can speak english well. So when you write them emails, make it simple and easy to understand.

Just spent a few minutes flicking through the site. Shipping policy doesn’t explicitly mention charges for abroad, but go with their emails. Nothing on a US distro either.

I don’t know, some of the cowling pieces are ok, but carbon fibre just looks… icky :P

↑ It is a site in which the most famous Ninja250R user in Japan gathers.
If it is a person who is here, the interpreter and the import might be helped.

Well guys, it’s very possible to get one of these. You simply need to contact the manufacturer directly. I have confirmed he WILL ship outside of Japan on his own. I have one on the way to Colorado. The CF pattern in all of the pics is 27,000 Yen plus 4,700 Yen EMS postage to the US. Total of 31,700 Yen. This is $348.64 USD.

    Email Akito Miyazaki at A-Tech.

Here is the e-mail I got from him. It’s in Engrish, but it’s readable.
