Color me clueless. Is it purely cosmetic or do these provide some improvement to braking performance?

This bike really needs help with the feel of its brakes. I have planned to get a set of brake lines for awhile, particularly after the review here.

Very cool of you Mr. 2 Fiddy, to put the coin back into the community. You are a stand up dude, sir!!

An experienced rider recently took my bike for a ride and commented the brakes felt too soft. So this definitely would make a good upgrade. Frankly, I ride too slow to know the difference yet. :)

I could deal with some free brake lines. Goin tomorrow to pick up my ‘04 2-fiddy and I’m stoked. I used to have an ‘01 but had to sell it due to being a poor college kid. : ( Missed it too much and had to pick up another. Love the site, by the way!

And I guess I should ask if it’s even interchangeable with an ’04’s brake lines? Haha. No biggie. I want a new one so bad, but I’ll do what I can to get up on 2 wheels.

My bike just came in yesterday. Bought it for 3499.00 with no freight or prep charge. I got a black one and so did my work buddy. He rode it home even in the rain where he had never ridden a motorcycle before. Can I say we were both anxious to get them home after waiting forever for the dealership to get them in. He had a grin from ear to ear when he made it back in one piece. Kawasaki made another life time motorcycle buyer with their great and easy to ride little sport bike. Anyways, don’t forget to enter me in the drawing because I can really see the brake lines being a major improvement.

I’m back with more comments. I was hoping that you could post about cool STICKERS for the Ninja. I just got mine a few months ago and I dropped it one of the first days I had the bike. I wasn’t going fast - so no major damage to me, but I scratched up my plastic. Since I’m using this bike to learn I would rather cover the scratches than replace the plastic.

I probably won’t be getting a new bike anytime soon either since I’m only 5′3″ and 105 lbs - this bike is all I can hold up at this point. : )

    Thanks -
    Breanna

    Hello!
This is a fantastic site for information, everytime I need some info on the latest parts for my 250, this is the place to be.

I love my 250, don’t get me wrong. I love the design, etc… but the assembly of the bike has left me disappointed. So i am trying to gather some aftermarket parts to make the bike more predictable.

Upgrading the brakes is a must on this bike. If you can’t afford to upgrade the brake lines, then at least have your brakes serviced by a professional (bleed brakes to get ride of the air, clean the brakes, check the pistons in the caliber and adjust the front\rear brakes).

I have found this to be true for my bike, yours may differ.

Again, thankyou for such a great site!
