Flush Mount Turn Signals

Yay! Finally! There are officially official flush mount turn signals for the Ninja 250R! These popped up this weekend over at BikeLitez. Few specifics about the kit are available (ie. Do you need to cut into your plugs… Do you need a blink fix.. etc. etc.) But for $55 — it might be worth a set to see how they work out.
Price: ~$55.00

A little too deep in the body for my taste (thats what she said)…but it looks like they are getting closer to what i’m looking for. I’d like something not much bigger, but maybe a little more visable!?…and not as deep. I’d like it to stick out a little bit…its flush mount…not hide your blinker so no one can see it until they are about to run you over…
Or maybe it’s just the picture!?…50 bucks isn’t too bad of a price.

Jasen,
It’s hard to say how deep they are… But I do agree that they ming be a tad too deep. (I SEE BLUE!!!)
But — At the end of the day, I think most flush mount signals on a bike are form over function. So it might be just a chance you’ll have to take… *shrug*

What about the lights over at AsianCycle.com?

Its stated to fit the older model of 250R. Are the mounts alot different from 2007 to 2008?

I’m just chiming in on this section as I have added similar blinker units to my older bikes in the past as they can help clean up the look of your bike. When I see them on other bikes I almost always think how cool they are, but then depending on the design, I think about the safety issue. With these units and their sunken in design they look like they would be harder to see if someone was directly in front of you and wanted to know which direction your were intending to go. If you make any of your turning signals harder to see then you are really endangering your own safety and that’s the bottom line. I speak from experience although mine incident was not caused directly to the blinkers as I was basically forced to t-boned a car in 1990 when it pulled out in front of me because the driver did not see me. My beautiful CBR 600 was totaled, the clunker car that my bike hit got totaled where I ended up braking my right femur, busting up my very expensive Shoei helmet, and I suffered head injuries with memory loss which forever changed my life. The important issue here is to not change anything that will make you less visible to the other motorists out there.

I got them put on along with the bikelitez no-cut fender eliminator. definately cleans up the bike. I agree with Bryan about the safety issue. They sit almost exctly flush with the side fairing so frontal visibility is pretty minimal. The lights consist of a small cluster of LEDs (same as found on the fender eliminator kit). I enjoy the minimal visibility because I, like others, have had a little trouble transitioning to bike blinkers that don’t automatically extinguish after a turn and have gone several blocks with everyone in traffic thinking that I am going to turn.
Installlaiton wasn’t too bad. I had my buddy do it. It took him about an hour for both sides. He used double sided tape to attach the resistors to the inside of the fairing so that it has less chance of getting wet.
Profile definately looks better. Visibility is enough to be legal but may not be the right choice if you have any concerns about safety. I will try to send in some pics to Mr. 2fiddy. Bottom line: $200 for flush mounts and fender eliminator replaces all blikners to LED and completely streamlines the profile.

Jacob,
Got any pics of the lights and fender eliminator kit? I’m thinking about doing the same with mine. I definitely like the stream-lined look. I’ved noticed some euro bikes that have that look. Let us see the results. Thanks!

Jacob, just a quick question: the no cut fender eliminator that you purchased from bikelitez, was it the ss or another version? If so did it come with turn signals? If you could email me a link or post it here (jfuentes@runner.csub.edu) I would really appreciate it. I am wanting to install the no cut fender kit…but am wondering which kit to get. Thanks

I got these blinkers for x-mas and it was super awesome… The instructions that were included have installation pics of some other bike rather than the 08-09 250’s.Only the finished bike pic had a 08 250 ninja as the pic listed here on the original post..
So you pretty much have to fabricate a work around.
