Aftermarket Corbin Seat for Ninja 250R

Aftermarket Corbin Seat for Ninja 250You thinking about doing a lil Ironbutt? Or perhaps you’re daily commute is getting a Lil tiresome on the stock rock? Well — Thanks for Corbin there is now an aftermarket Seat replacement for the 08+ Ninja 250R.

Even if you don’t use your bike for long hauls, this is a welcome aftermarket part in my opinion. The stock seat material has proven to be very difficult to clean for me — And switch that out with leather is definitely something I see in my very neat future. Not to mention — Corbin uses a black Carbon-Fiber leather which looks absolutely great on this bike.

Site Description:

Team Green has really outdone themselves on this latest incarnation of the 250 Ninja. The looks is all racebike and we’ve developed a two-piece system to match.

Ergonomically corrected seating platforms built up of high-density Comfort Cell foam provide surprising comfort value. Shaped like your body to create a greater area of body contact and proper weight distribution, the Corbin saddles eliminate pressure points and increase riding range. Built firm to stay resilient and support your body all day.

After an initial break-in period, Comfort Cell foam will adapt to your body to provide an even greater degree of comfort. Additionally, the seating platforms have been neutralized to reduce the tendency to slide towards the tank under braking. Notice also how the seat is shaped to provide support for your legs while your feet are on the footpegs, but is shaved in the nose area to allow good ground reach.

Our Fibertech basepan creates a firm foundation for the foam shape and keeps the carefully designed ergonomics intact. Engineered to fit every contour of the Ninja and provide a perfect fit. Under the saddle, rubber bumpers keep your paint job safe from scuffing. Both front and rear saddles mount like stock and come with brackets preinstalled on the saddle.

Corbin front saddle works with a rear seat cowling or with the Corbin passenger seat. Due to the limited space and lack of sufficient structure, we were unable to incorporate the Corbin backrest system into this seat model. Besides, on bike models like this Ninja, a backrest is of limited use due to the aggressive seating posture.

Corbin saddles come standard with genuine leather seating inserts for a true touch of luxury. We recommend our Carbon Fiber laminated leather seating with Asphalt vinyl sides for a nice accent (as shown above). Leather will provide a seating surface that breathes with your body and will adapt with the foam during break in for a perfectly personalized fit.

I’m going to assume this raises the ride height slightly… Do you know by how much, if at all?

    Tina,

Ride hight for both stock and the Corbin seat are both 30.5″… So there are no ride height changes…

I’ve definitely thought about something like this, it’s not uncommon for me to have to do a 2 hour ride, is it really $259 more comfortable? And I think the girlfriend is interested int he rear one ;)
