Yoshimura Exhaust for 08 Ninja 250R
Ohhhhhh la la.. I’m in love with the carbon Yoshimura exhaust… That thing it tight.. One of the great things about the Ninja 250R motorcycle is that most of the riders have nothing to prove, so you can buy parts that make you happy, not just the parts that give you performance or functionality…
In this case, you get a little of both. Yoshimura (aka Yoshi, aka Yosh) has brought SIX new exhausts to the market. 3 Full systems, and 3 Slipons.
Yoshimura TRC Full Exhaust: (All prices USD)
$719.00 TRC Stainless/Carbon Full System
$699.00 TRC Stainless/Titanium Full System
$599.00 TRC Stainless/Stainless Full System
Yoshimura TRC Slip-On Exhaust: (All prices USD)
$549.00 TRC Stainless/Carbon Slip-On
$499.00 TRC Stainless/Titanium Slip-On
$429.00 TRC Stainless/Stainless Slip-On

The dyno charts from this exhaust show an increase of 3hp over peak but with up to an impressive 7hp more from 10,000RPM - 13,000RPM. (No torque graph was available at this time) The only questionable performance is a small dip in power from 4,000-5,500 RPM. But, this is most likely from the fact that they are running a DynaJet Kit on the test bike (Recommended for both Full and Slip on systems!) and it’s fattening up the already lean bottom end of the stock jets.

So far every exhaust for the 250 sounds the same…its basically up to which one you think looks the best for the best price. Just don’t get a no name brand cuz that WILL sound like crap.

I’m new at all this “add-on” exhaust for bikes. What’s the big difference between a slip on exhaust and a Full exhaust? Is it just the convienience of putting it on, or what?
