Two Brothers exhaust for the Ninja 250R

two brothers ninja250r sliponAnyone that has been around Bikes or ATVs has seen and heard a Two Brothers exhaust at one time or another.. And they sound pretty sweet. The Two Brothers exhaust for the 250R was one of the first exhausts to hit the market for back in January, and so far I haven’t heard anything but good things about them.

Coming in three slip-on styles Aluminum, Titanium, and Carbon ranging from $400 - $500 they have a model to fit every ones budget and style. Interestingly enough, on their dyno chart they have a full exhaust on it, but I can’t find any information about it anywhere. So, perhaps it’s foreshadowing for things to come?

The Dyno charts do show some nice gains for a slip on with 1-2 horsepower gains over 4000RPM’s all the way to redline. Power aside, the one really nice feature for this exhaust is the available addition of a removable silencer that will reduce output 2-3db. Honestly tho, you know your neighbors are already jealous — So why not rub it and and keep the silencer out? ;) But, if you’re neighbors are pains in the asses… It’s a nice option to have available to you.

I’ve got the aluminum version on mine. It looks good, and give the bike a nice pop at idle and a good sound all the way up the RPMs.

It’s loud, but not too bad. I don’t have the silencer, and don’t intend to bother. I can coast in off-throttle without making too much noise to cause the neghbors to complain.

I just purchased one of these for my 250 and someone mentioned to me that I need to replace the jets or the outcome of this whole purchase won”t be pretty, is this true? Please respond back soon because I’m getting pretty low on money and if I need to purchase a jet kit, I need to get it now.

But other than this I think this slip-on exhaust sounds great, someone told me the other day they could hear me a mile and a half down the road… which isn’t hard though at 7 in the morning.

Sorry, haven’t checked here in a bit. No, I didn’t need to re-jet. I did shim the needles (look in the 250R section of kawiforums for a write-up) in the carbs to improve the low RPM response, and it increased power down low.

I installed mine the other day but I did not see a silencer. Is it pre-installed in the pipe?

I was lucky enough to buy my Ninja after the previous owner installed the two brothers exhaust. I think it sounds awesome. I probaly would not have done it myself, but it did become a selling point of the bike for me. It is sweet.
